About Me

As a graduate student from both Wayne State University- Detroit and the University of Michigan- Dearborn, I have received a Master’s Degree in Media Arts and Broadcasting and two bachelor degrees; Communications and Criminal Justice.

I have had over 7 years of experience in the news field including working for both television news stations, CBS 62 and Fox 2- Detroit. I have the experience and familiarity in the day-to-day administrative functions of the news and video departments. I have the writing knowledge, editing skills and techniques.

I have worked at various news distribution places since high school. I started as News Editor my junior year, and went on to become Editor in Chief my senior year. I have written as a reporter for the Dearborn/Dearborn Heights Press and Guide Newspaper located in Southgate. I was also the News Editor of Wayne State University’s newspaper ‘The South End.’ There, I had my Fitness Column which discusses health and fitness topics.

In addition to this practical experience, I have written, and worked in the newsroom, and online postings for Fox 2- WJBK. I am confident that my degree, along with my years of broadcasting and technological experiences has prepared me for the broadcast field.

I have also written and directed a short film called ‘Irrefrangible’ and have had experience in camera work, lighting and plenty of software tools including Final Cut Pro. I have also had experience in radio broadcasting and have worked in Avid and Pro-tools.

I am a contributor writer for Downriver Profile Magazine.

This website acts as access to showcase my passion and skills while bringing to you my goals to create a community in which I can share day to day topics.
